HISTORY
 

Established in 1989.

In the Summer of 1989, Ruam Mit Thai Cafe started its humble beginnings as a family business at 544 Saint Peter Street, just two blocks away from its current location.  Since then, Ruam Mit has gone through many different changes over the years; including moving to its current location in 1996, growing from a restaurant with eleven tables to twenty, changing ownership within the family, and even a slight name change ("Ruam Mit Thai Cafe" to "Ruam Mit Thai, Inc.").  Then in 2018, the restaurant changed ownership and its name became "Ruam Mit".

The only thing that hasn't changed is that Ruam Mit has always been owned and operated by family.  

We work very hard to provide fresh & delicious Thai & Lao food to our guests and strive for good service.  All of our dishes and sauces are made to order in-house with our own family recipes.
